Class of 2015

Monei is a junior and comes from Bronx Prep, a very strong charter school in New York.  Her academic strengths are math, history and writing. She loves to sing and was selected to be part of the WHS Chamber Singers this year. Monei is also on the WHS swim team. This year, she attended the Carleton College Summer Science Institute and looks forward to hockey, swimming and the WHS Spring Musical. She loves children and aspires to be an obstetrician.

Class of 2016

Adriana is a sophomore and comes from Brooklyn, NY and PS 318. Her ultimate goal is to attend Harvard Medical School to become a pediatrician. She loves math and science and is passionate about track and field. This year, she went to science camp at the American University and looks forward to running track and cross country.

Lia
Class of 2016
Lia is a sophomore and lives with her mother in upper Manhattan. She comes from the Dominican Republic and learned English as a second language at the age of 7 in 1½ years. She was part of the Fieldston program and is an avid reader. She is excited to be part of the WHS Key Club, Operation Smile and the International Club. This year she attended the Eleanor Roosevelt Leadership Program at Vassar College. Lia will be managing the WHS JV Volleyball team this fall.

Aqueelah
Class of 2017
Aqueelah has lived all her life with her mother in Long Branch, New Jersey where she has a large extended family. She excelled at drama, choir and dance in school there. This summer, Aqueelah expressed her love of helping others by volunteering in the Special Olympics and nursing homes. She's excited about meeting new people and having new experiences. Being picked for the WHS volleyball team will help her do just that. She enjoys nature and hopes to teach.

Essence
Class of 2017
Essence comes from New Brunswick, New Jersey where she lives with her mother. Her love of and talent in poetry and writing enabled her admission into the Middle School of the Arts. No surprise, she aspires to become a journalist (War Correspondent). Essence has a First Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. She enjoys seeing her extended family in Florida and aspires to be on the High Honor roll this year.

Jean Robert "JR"
Class of 2014
JR is a senior from New London Ct. He moved to the United States from Haiti as a young boy with his four sisters and brother. This year he is Vice President of the WHS Executive Board. He works at the Cider Mill After School program for young children and he volunteers as head coach for Wilton Comstock Basketball. His love of the outdoors and science came together this year when he participated in the Experiment in International Living program in Baja, Mexico where he studied Marine Biology.

Raphael
Class of 2014

Raphael is a senior who came to the United States from Ghana at an early age. He is active in Operation Smile and volunteers at the Wilton Meadow’s Health Care Center. He is secretary of the Wilton Model Congress, Co-President of Operation Smile, and is involved in Kids Helping Kids. In addition to all that, he wrestles on the WHS team. Raphael enjoys math, science, english and history and would like to become an astrophysicist, aerospace engineer and a philosopher in the future. He aspires to become an astrophysicist, aerospace engineer, and a philosopher in the future.

Jean Pierre "JP"
Class of 2014

JP is a senior who moved to New York from Jamaica in 2008. He is part of a biking club that meets on weekends, and while he plans to pursue bicycle racing in the future, for now he just rides for fun. JP’s love of singing and desire to learn music more formally prompted him to join the WHS Men’s Choir. He also joined the first Robotics Team started by the Wilton Library this year. JP volunteers weekly at Wilton Meadows.

Barry
Class of 2015

Barry is a junior who hails from Bronx, New York where he lives with his mother. He will play basketball this year as well as work as a referee for Wilton Comstock Basketball games. Barry is involved in Amnesty International, Operation Smile and Future Business Leaders of America. This year he participated in the Experiment in International Living program in Chile, which is the first step towards his desired degree in International Business.

Zourry
Class of 2015

Zourry is a junior from the Bronx, New York where he lives with his mother. This summer marked his sixth year with a host family in Canada where they camped for a week in Northern Quebec. Zourry is a member of the WHS App Development Club where he is writing a program for ABC usage. His goal is to become a prosecuting attorney some day.

Rey
Class of 2015

Rey is a junior from Lawrence Ma where he lives with his parents and two younger brothers. Rey loves Spanish and is using that knowledge at his job at Vintage Salsa. This year he participated in a National Outdoor Leadership School 16-day whitewater river expedition program. He is involved in the Future Business Leaders of America, and hopes to pursue a career in psychology, possibly in career guidance.

Darvin
Class of 2017

Darvin is a freshman and comes from the Bronx where he lives with his mother and a sister who is in college. He attended MS 319 where he was class president and augmented his studies through the Fieldston program. Darvin loves basketball and football and hopes to have the opportunity to travel. France and Japan are the countries highest on his travel wish list.

Zachary
Class of 2017

Zachary is a freshman and comes from the Bronx where he lives with his parents and two siblings. He attended Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy 141 in addition to the Fieldston program. Zachary loves basketball and would eventually like to become a lawyer.
