Elija
continues to smile and stay on an even keel through his years at WHS. His
grades have been about the same, almost always making honors. Elija played
football this fall and is Co Captain of the WHS Varsity Basketball team.

Buddies Club”. Best Buddies is quite time consuming and well worth doing.
O’londi
is doing very well in school and he is on the JV basketball team and is even
getting some playing time on the varsity team. Click here for link to meet the WHS Warriors. O’londi is taking trumpet lessons
with Michael Gordon.
Micah
is working hard at school after a full season of football. Micah is taking
guitar lessons from Julia, a WHS student donating her time. He is also reading
and reporting on his required book of the month. He is involved in winter
lacrosse clinics and continues to take swimming lessons on Friday afternoon.
Raphael
enjoys school and is doing extremely well. Raphael is also enjoying archery and
theater seems to interest him.He has
joined the Theater Club at WHS plus learning to swim on Friday afternoons.
Raphael is also taking advantage of the weekly guitar lessons with Julia.
JR
has settled right in.He always has a
smile and seems to be extremely satisfied with his new home. He is taking piano
lessons from Mr. Lipner and swimming on Fridays. He just had a Christmas
birthday.
JP has settled in with ease and made high honors as a freshman. He is very
quiet but enjoys the house atmosphere and plans to run track in the spring. He
is lifting weights at the Y with the other boys, taking weekly guitar lessons
and swimming on Friday afternoons.
Sophie
is looking forward to participating in Poetry In Motion once again this year
and is doing well. She has made high honors a number of times. Sophie also
has a part in the school play, Almost, Maine, a romantic comedy. She also has an
exhibit of her photos from the Wilton Up Close workshop with Daryl Hawk that
will be on display at Wilton Library in February.
Onessa
had art work hanging in the hallway of the new auditorium plus she consistently
makes honors. This fall she was again on the swim team. The team has practice
both in the morning and afternoon, making this a huge commitment. One
last activity for Onessa is Modern Dance; she has been given a scholarship by
Michelle Sperry of Fleur de Lis Academy. She participates in three clubs:
Peervention, The Culinary Club and The International Club of which
she is the secretary. Currently, she is also working at Cannondale
Generators, three days a week after school.
Hui
will be joining the WHS Orchestra after having private lessons with Mr. Mead
using a borrowed cello. She has learned very quickly. Mr. Mead has voluntarily
been helping Hui. Hui, also, takes piano lessons and had art work displayed in
the new Chinese restaurant in town. She is the vice president of International
Club and she is also an activity coordinator of Key Club. She joined Habitat
for Humanity this year and loves it.
Damaris
is more than holding her own in school and is taking advantage of a dance scholarship
given by Fleur de Lis Academy. She enjoys dance and would like to do more
with it in the future. She attends two times a week plus helps with younger
students. Damaris also finds time to babysit.
Amanda
has made the honor roll and is an active member of the International Club, also
acting as its treasurer. She is also a member of Key Club and the ABC Student
Board. Amanda also finds time to babysit.
Selena
is doing well in all her subjects. Her only real concern is science, however, her
teacher will help her with anything she needs.

Three New Scholars for Wilton ABC - August 2010
John Bonhomme, Jr. - “JR” is from New London, Connecticut. He moved to the United States
from Haiti when he was eight years old. He has four sisters and one brother. Favorite subjects are math and science and his favorite sport is football. JR was very involved in the choir in his middle school where is was chosen to participate in the Eastern Region Music Festival.
Raphael Mettle lives with his parents and three brothers and sisters in the Bronx. He moved to
the United States from Ghana five years ago. Raphael's favorite subjects are math and science
and his favorite sport is football.
John Pierre Clarke - “JP” lives in New York City with his parents and brother. He moved to the
United States from Jamaica two years ago. His favorite subject is science and his favorite sport is basketball.
Edwin and Issaka - Wilton High School Class of 2010
Edwin Carbajal and Issaka Mohammed graduated on June 19, 2010 as part of the Wilton High School Class of 2010. Edwin will attend Princeton University in July. Issaka will attend Lehigh University in August. We wish them both the very best!
